Patterns and Camouflage

Through the use of stencils and various painting techniques, we can apply a wide range of camouflage and other patterns, including:

  • Geometric, disruptive, and shatter patterns
  • Large and small blob camouflage patterns reminiscent of US Woodland and Multicam
  • Unique variants such as our Hexpat and pixelated digicam patterns, similar to MARPAT or CADPAT
  • Gradient patterns akin to A-TACS* and complex patterns that resemble Kryptek*.

These patterns can involve as few as two colors or incorporate four or more, all available in conventional or unconventional combinations. If you have a pattern in mind that is not covered above, please let us know, and we’ll find a way to bring it to life, but note that photorealistic patterns (like Mossy Oak and Realtree) are beyond our capabilities.

Battleworn and Distressed

A new Cerakote job doesn’t have to look brand new.  Some of our favorite options involve different levels of distressing to give your project a worn look. These can range of relatively subtle to extreme. “Battleworn” is a popular term among applicators and can mean many things. Most often it means something akin to what we think of as a “very grimey” finish. Here is our basic range of distressed finishes:

Grimey: This is how we describe a finish that gives the impression that some carbon and grime have built up on the gun. Typically the most build-up occurs in low areas while the higher areas and those that are touched more when the weapon is used have less build-up.  One project might be a little grimey, while another could be extremely grimey.

Used Universe: This is a finish intended to give the impression that the gun is well-cared for, but old and has seen some use. For instance on a handgun we might try to give the impression of a finish that has been worn away by many years of holster wear exposing the metal underneath in some areas and leaving others polished to a glossy look.

Apocalyptic: This is a more extreme version of Used Universe.  In general the effect is heavier and covers more of the weapon.
